Open to members and non members

The Chartered Institute of Housing Cymru and Lovell are delighted to partner once again to deliver the return of the Development Seminar at TAI, the national conference for Welsh housing professionals. Running alongside the main TAI programme on 27 April 2026, this dedicated seminar stream will focus on the key challenges and opportunities shaping the development and supply of homes across Wales.

Designed for development and planning professionals from both the public and private sectors, the seminar will explore practical solutions to the issues you face, from navigating planning barriers and building effective partnerships to accessing finance and funding. It will also look ahead to the future of housing development in Wales.

Taking place at a pivotal moment, just ahead of the Senedd election, this seminar offers a timely opportunity to engage in meaningful discussion, influence thinking, and connect with leading stakeholders from across the housing sector.

Please note, the Development Seminar runs alongside TAI on day one and is a separate content stream to the TAI conference. If you would like to attend the Development Seminar on day one and the TAI conference on day two, please choose the appropriate booking option.

“Lovell is delighted to be sponsoring the Development Seminar at TAI 2026. This opportunity holds special significance for us, as we proudly launched the very first Development Seminar at TAI in 2015 - a milestone that proved to be a tremendous success. Over the years, we worked closely with CIH to shape seminar programmes that genuinely reflected the challenges and opportunities facing the delivery of new, affordable homes across the sector. The sessions quickly became a valued part of the TAI programme, consistently attracting strong attendance from RSL and local authority development teams. Following a short pause in recent years, we are thrilled to be supporting the return of the Development Seminar in 2026. The sector has never had more to discuss, and the need for collaboration, innovation, and practical solutions has never been greater. We look forward to engaging with colleagues across the sector and hearing your views on how, together, we can make a positive and meaningful difference - helping to unlock delivery, overcome barriers, and create the affordable homes Wales needs”.
